It is our hope that this will be a positive and productive experience, for each individual player and team. Our goal is to further develop football skills for all the boys while encouraging a love for the game. On average 61% of the boys in this league will not go on to play any more full contact football. This may be their only experience playing, so lets make it fun and productive.

The purpose of the program is to offer youth an opportunity to become involved in a wholesome and beneficial athletic activity.  We will also help to improve their mental and technical skills.  The program requires dedication and effort and will give you a chance to compete against some of the top teams and players from all over the Wasatch Front.

The emphasis is not only on the development of the individual's football skills.  Teaching the values of teamwork, responsibility, self-discipline and self-motivation are also important.  In no way does the U.V.F.L aim to strengthen any one school in our community!!! In fact we take pride in the fact that there are U.V.F.L. players on MANY High School teams in the area.

Winning is important, BUT NOT, the most important thing.  Our goal is to help boys to become young men, with a better understanding of Football and Teamwork.  Physical and mental conditioning is another benefit of U.V.F.L.

We rely on volunteers to make this program work.  ALL of our coaches, board members, and President of the League, are unpaid!!  Many volunteers contribute significant hours (as much as 30 hrs per week each) and money out of their own pocket to ensure the viability and smooth operation of the league.  Every effort is made to locate good coaches with knowledge in the sport of football.  However, getting even one coach per team is very hard.  So get involved, help out, it's well worth it.  But please do not try to undermine the coaches decisions.  Work with them rather than against them.

Park's Sportsman is a great host and supporter of the league.  They do all of the sign-ups, help store all the equipment, and for the same price, DONATE THEIR TIME.  At the sign-ups Park's Sportsman is paying all of the people that help, not the league.  So please remember that Mr. Park has a business to run and the league is grateful for his help.
